# Live Market Feed

A team-maintained convenience feed for active Events markets on Hyperliquid.

The team maintains the read-only [HIP-4 Markets repository](https://codeberg.org/hl-fan/hip4-markets). When run for `txyz`, it polls Hyperliquid’s public `/info` endpoint and exposes a normalized JSON view of currently listed two-sided outcome markets.

## Run locally

After cloning the repository and installing its documented Python dependencies, start the feed with:

```bash
uv run hip4-markets --deployer txyz --network mainnet
```

The local server listens on `http://127.0.0.1:8080` by default. For example:

```bash
curl http://127.0.0.1:8080/markets
curl http://127.0.0.1:8080/health
```

## Endpoints

| Endpoint              | Response                                                                                        |
| --------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `GET /markets` | All markets in the latest successful poll. Optional `?kind=` filters may be supplied. |
| `GET /markets/<coin>` | One market, looked up by either side’s coin identifier. Omit the leading `#` from the URL path. |
| `GET /health` | Polling status, last update information, errors, and market counts. |

These paths are served by the local or self-hosted process. The Codeberg repository does not itself provide a hosted API.

The feed is a convenience resource, not a canonical market registry or settlement source. Hyperliquid’s onchain state and the terms of the applicable market remain authoritative. Clients should tolerate missing optional fields, stale data reported by `/health`, and markets disappearing from the feed after onchain settlement.

No uptime, permanence, or service-level commitment is made for this feed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.trade.xyz/events/developer-resources/live-market-feed.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
